USO Sightings Debunked

A recent Fox News article reported 9,000 UAP sightings near US coastlines since August 2025, citing Enigma Labs. However, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) has raised concerns about the accuracy of these reports. According to MUFON, Enigma's methodology for classifying Unidentified Submersible Objects (USOs) is flawed, as it considers any object within 10 miles of a coastline a USO.

Retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet expressed concerns about national security, while UFO book author Kent Heckenlively discussed reports of underwater vessels detecting craft moving at high speeds. MUFON's own database has reports of fast-moving submersibles dating back to WWII.

The organization emphasizes the importance of investigation and verification, stating that 90% of UFO reports are ultimately identified as explainable phenomena. MUFON encourages those who have experienced UFO sightings or abductions to report them through their website.
