Malta Joins Artemis

The Republic of Malta has become the 65th signatory to the Artemis Accords, a coalition aimed at promoting peaceful and responsible space exploration. Malta's Minister for Education, Youth, Sports, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima signed the accords on behalf of the country.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman welcomed Malta to the Artemis Accords community, stating that the country's participation affirms shared commitments to peaceful, transparent, and responsible space exploration.

The Artemis Accords, established in 2020, introduce practical principles aimed at enhancing safety and coordination between nations as they explore the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Signing the accords means committing to explore peaceably and transparently, render aid to those in need, and preserve historically significant sites and artifacts.
