UFO Sighting Report!

My parents, my fiance and I were sitting around our firepit in our yard at approximately 8pm Saturday, September 19, 2009. My mom was facing the southern sky and said quite calmly, “What is that in the sky?” We all looked directly into the southern sky, up high, not low or near the horizon, and saw a VERY Bright light in a cone shaped pattern, narrow at the top and wide near the bottom, hard to say how big, but larger that what you would expect for an airplanes landing lights. Which is of course what we thought it was at first, but it was very, very bright, then just slowly faded to nothing-gone. Did not move at all, in any direction at any time. We never could see what was producing the light, there weren’t any other lights with it, such as navigational red and green lights as on an airplane. The entire episode lasted probably about 1 to 2 minutes, from first noticeing it to it fading away. Did anyone else see anything similar? I would love to know, there is much debate among the four of us, but we do agree, to us it is an “Unidentified Flying/Hovering Object”.

UFO Sighting Report!

I was participating with friends in a Nightsky Photography workshop at Acadia National Park. There were 15 adults: 12 participants, 2 park service employees to drive van and assist, plus Tyler Nordgren,PhD astronomer and artist, teaching the workshop. After an introduction and instructions, we all set up our cameras on the edge of Eagle Lake, most of us aiming southwest hoping to capture the Milky Way as the evening progressed. (The workshop was scheduled from 6:30-9:00pm ET.)

At approximately 7:50pm ET, we all observed a bright object that appeared suddenly directly in front of us. It seemed to come down in the sky, burn brightly creating a cone of light shining towards the ground much like a streetlight and fog-like light around it. the “streetlight” did not make it the ground. After a few seconds, the object disappeared. The fog and “streetlight” slowly disappeared after about 45 seconds. It just seemed to fade from the cone shape to a smudge in the sky.

UFO Sighting Report!

we were driving down benstein a road in walled lake michigan it was about 9:00pm and we saw a formation of about 7 reddish orange lights hovering in the sky like if the big dipper just came down
it was so noticable.
we pulled down a astreet to see if qwe could see them better. we lost sight of them for a few minutes and there was a tree kind of blocking are sight. them I saw them again, they were strange orange lights,glowing and kind of teardrop shaped, they were not airplains or helicoptors. they were flying around and kind of staying in this one area.
I decided to get back in the car and drive further down to get beyond the trees to get a better look. I lost sight of them for a few minutes and I thought they were gone. all of sudden one went strait up in the air, it looked like a ball of fire,it went straight up and them headed north, we jumped back in the car and followed it.
we had it in sight for alittle while and then it just disappeared.
I wondered if someone was sending something up in the air? but it was fire, it looked like fire, I dont know what ou could send up in the air
that would look like that.
it literally looked like it was burning, when we saw it up close.
I was freaking out and my son was so scared he was crying, it was the strangest thing I have ever seen and I cant explain what we saw.
I called the police dept to see if anyone else reported seeing anything. they said no one had. I watched the news and didnt see anything. I dont know how no one else saw them. the formation was as plain as day and I dont know how someone else driving down benstein behind me didnt see them.

UFO Sighting Report!

I was at a get together with friends near Big Mountain Road in Shamokin, PA. It was 7:50 pm on Saturday September 19th, 2009. A large light appeared at what seemed a very high altitude in the sky south east of Shamokin. After what seemed to be a matter of a few seconds this glowing light emitted a spotlight that lit up the sky below the craft. The craft then, what I can describe as blinking out of existince, disapeared. The spotlight resonated for a few seconds after the ball of light was gone. There was no sound and a cloudless sky. I feel very priveleged to witness what I did. There are approx. 10 other witnesses to this event that were present at the time. I don’t know of anyone else in town seeing it as of yet because it happened only yesterday. I emailed the local newspaper about this event and have not yet received a response.

UFO Sighting Report!

I went out to get the morning paper about 0630. The sun was still behind the mountain and I could see another star in the east. Looking to the north was a very bright “star”. This is the first time i’ve seen this prior to today. I went into the house to get my binocs. and when viewed, the object looked balloon shaped. It did not appear to be moving. After about five minutes two smaller lights desended from the “star” and created a vertical line of now three equal size lights. As the sun continued to rise the daylight washed out the object. I took a pic with my camera when first seen, but have no reference point. Just a bright dot in the sky. The sky was cloudless and clear. I have never seen a ufo, and living in Albuquerque could tell this was not a hot air balloon.

UFO Sighting Report!

I am filing this on behalf of my mother and father who do not have a computer. There names are listed on this report and they are happy to receive a call to discuss this siting further.

My parents were at their vacation home in Berkeley Springs, WV. They were looking in the sky for comets and planets, like they usually do. The sky was very clear last night. They saw an object in the sky. It was a large, bright, white, circular light. The object seemed to hover. They watched it for a few seconds and the object began to emit a misty cone shape light beneath it. This lasted a few more seconds. They report the light disappeared into the object and object suddenly shot straight up into the sky at a very fast speed and disappeared. They heard no sound during this event. UFO Sighting Report!

Approx 8 pm – approx 58 degrees – I was located in lutherville at a friends birthday party when i looked up towards the eastern sky, towards direction of whitemarsh/parkville, and saw a bright white light appear. We were in his backyard grilling at the time. The light appeared to evolve from darkness, not like a light you turn on by switch, but it grew brighter (holding in elevation at the time). the light source was circular in shape and projected light in a cone shape straight downward. Light was similar to a helicopter spotlight (electrictronically enduced spotlight – not a flame, not a fire, but manufactured). There was no sound associted with this light or smoke. A large plume of smoke was below the lighted object- fog like – like a street light in the fog, except massive. the light was as bright as jet aircraft landing apprroach lights, if not brighter. the light source began to slowly lower in elevation approx 500 Ft? ?…light began to slowly go out (still holding at the same elevation it seemed (like it did not travel away or up). The large area of fog smoke below object remained lighted for approx 10 seconds then faded to black. Visibilty this night was clear, no clouds. shortly their after all the smoke was gone, commercial aircraft flew by where the sighting occured around same elevation. Aircraft headed south. I have studied aviation since childhood and seen rockets, hovering helicopters, harrier jets in air shows, and nothing compares to what i saw this night. The fact that there was no sound associated with this event leaves me to belive that it was not military/commercial aircraft. As noted, a commercial ailiner passed by site approx 10-30 seconds after event (right where sighting was in sky) and jet’s engine noise could be clearly heard at this distance. I had felt that i had seen something that was man made, but not normal. I called 911 around 8:15 and reported incident annonamously, i was told it was probably fireworks occuring at towson university – not possible. i asked that if they had been flooded with callers, and operator said that they had not as of yet. Three people at the party also saw event.

UFO Sighting Report!

What first appeared to be the search light from a helicopter was actually more comet like on close inspection..though it seemed much closer. The cone shaped light seemed to shower down from a bright spot at the apex of the cone. I began to consider if it was a search light from a craft, falling space debris, a comet, or an alien portal. Then the light blinked out and the cone of light started to very slowly vanish/dissipate/dissolve/fade from the apex to the base which still had a very distinct outline though it was fading in intensity of light. When the light began to fade I thought it was a cloud obscuring the object/light, but again closer inspection showed it was murky/hazy from the city lights/pollution, yet still clear of obscuring clouds…though I can’t be 100% sure of that detail. I have read one report from the other side of the state that was exactlyish the same. That report cited other sightings of this event in Virginia at about the same time last night. The position of the light was directly overhead in my experience, and they said that it was in Western sky I believe. Also I am pretty sure that it was 7:48 at the latest, and this sighting report from eastern Maryland said 7:55pm. The apex of the triangle/cone shape pointed to the west and the light did not seem to move at all. I am sure that I will not be the last to report this sighting.

UFO Sighting Report!

We were sitting outside at a bomb fire. I looked up and pointed, then my 5 friends all saw the same thing. A bright light that looked like a star with a cone shaped light coming out from the star, looked as if it were coming down to earth. the star disapeared about 30 seconds after we saw it, the cone stayed but slowly disapeared. this all lasted maybe 2 or 3 minutes at the most! it was too quick for us to get a picture once we thought of it. it appeared as a foggy cloud but when it disapeared we realized there were no clouds in the sky at all. the light we saw was much higher then any airplane would travel. it was NOT and airplane. after wards we heard of 6 other people in our county who saw the same thing!

UFO Sighting Report!

i went out to pick up a pizza last night at 750 pm and when i got out of my truck i noticed a white light shining down from a cone shaped mist there didnt seem to be any movement i was looking south over the top of the building at about 30 to 35 degrees it was a perfectly clear sky i watched the light for about 30 seconds before it just faded out

at first i thought it looked like a spotlite shining down but then i realized there was no sound and that it looked as if shining thru a mist nearest i can compare it to is a rocket shooting up and the mist looked like the trail but the light was white not orange there was no sound and i couldnt see any movement so i assume the object was very distant then it just faded away no sign of anything not even the mist
