Introduction
The report below was sent to me by a MUFON investigator. It occurred in Mooresville, North Carolina on March 22, 2012. Now we have posted several very compelling cases from North Carolina up to now.

Here is the report. – For the past several nights, stationary and moving lights were observed within the woods, that are not more than 100 ft. behind our apartment building. The primary night that I observed the lights, there has been a trio of golden lights that remained on, but appeared to be changing position when it comes to one another.
To my left, probably within 30 feet of this triad was a brighter, blue-white light. i used to be ready to obscure and reveal both sets of lights by moving my head up and down and side to side. So the lights were behind the primary row of trees.
My first thought was that i used to be seeing security lights that could had been on a building beyond the woods, but a glance at Google maps showed no buildings beyond the woods, but instead an oversized municipal golf course.
The Clearing within the Woods
However, there has been a clearing within the woods with a break within the tree tops on an instantaneous line to my bedroom window. That first night I kept monitoring the lights periodically with out a change, except the lights of the triad turning into different triangle configurations.
At my final check at 7:00 AM, the sky was already getting light blue, however the lights were still in place. After my morning shower, the lights were gone. Two nights later, the lights were back within the woods within the identical two-group configuration as before.
This time there has been also some movement of star-like points above the woods, however, they were all too big to be your average star and within the wrong area of the sky to be Venus or the moon. Two of those objects were stationed above two of the biggest trees within the area of the stationary lights.
I fixed my vision on one of several hovering stars and it was not moving when it comes to the trees. After three hours, both star-like objects had not changed on the subject of those trees, however the other stars inside the sky had moved a great deal further to the West. In this night the stationary lights were passed by 5:00 AM, while the sky was still black.
The next day, after work, I walked into the woods and gradually made my method to the clearing. The soil was damp clay and straightforward to depress, but there have been no landing pod depressions anywhere. The one possible artifacts within the “landing zone” were some very spiky, dark green plants something like chives which stuck straight out of the bottom but were bent over and lying down in places without being broken.
There was also a space about 5 ft. in diameter within the center of the clearing where the spikes were dried out; not burnt but dried out like wheat when able to harvest. There have been no other plants in or across the clearing that were dried out like this.
The Vigil
Last night i began a vigil while still daylight, hoping i may see any craft approach and land within the clearing. I only left my post once or twice to keep up personal needs, but upon strolling back from a type of interludes i discovered the stationary lights were back. This was slightly after dark.
The configuration of 2 sets of lights and their behavior was the exact same. Again, there has been some activity of star-like objects within the sky, one set was very distant, but flying in an equilateral triangle pattern against the clouds.
I had my Nikon DSLR camera out this time with a 200mm lens , but was having trouble finding and concentrating on any of those objects. So I went out onto my patio where I had a transparent shot on the woods with out glass obstructing things. Standing within the shadows, i attempted shooting toward the stationary objects however the stupid camera put out the focusing beam and the rear display totally lit up my face.
If they did not know i used to be spying before, they sure did now. Right after that, I saw something sparkling moving throughout the tree tops, south of the apartment complex and moving our way. Getting closer, i’ll see that it was now within the woods.
It was moving between the dense growth very gracefully, seemingly conveniently. It jogged my memory of a large firefly. Finally it came to a stop and hovered on the fringe of the woods directly opposite to my position.
For a moment it seemed we were staring at one another with direct eye contact. The “orb” then went off, navigating during the woods with the identical ease and with out a particular sense of urgency. Because it was right on the fringe of the woods, i feel a good looking accurate estimate of the scale will be such as a softball.
When I entered the home and came out again, the stationary lights were now not there. The time was 8:20 PM. My speculation is that the stationary lights and the one who came after my camera lit up are survey vehicles which might be controlled by the various larger craft that were seen up above during each event.
