UFO Sighting Report!

On 2/3/10, I was driving westbound on the I -10 freeway near downtown LA, returning from work. I saw a wingless craft with glowing red and green lights come out of the cloud cover straight ahead through my windshield. The craft was moving fast,in a near-vertical descent, and fell maybe one thousand feet before finally leveling off a bit, about 1 or 2 hundred feet for the ground. This was near the I-10 and 110 exchange, near downtown. I watched it for a total of about 20 seconds.
I was sure at first I was seeing a small plane out of control and crashing. It was silent however, and had no wings; just two large lights, one red, one green. The descent was swift, extreme, and precluded helicopters, etc. When it leveled out a bit it vanished in a puff of smoke or vapor, after traveling towards downtown for several more seconds. I expected to hear a crash and see an explosion, but it had simply vanished
